Allowing your child on social media is more abusive than keeping them blocked from using it. Even adults get abused from using social media. It's not something GOOD parents are running to allow their kids to get on. My eldest son is 19 years old and I'm STILL trying to get used to the fact that he might have social media accounts. Parents trying to protect their children by keeping them off social media for as long as we can is the VERY OPPOSITE of abuse. It's a sign the parents love their children and are trying to keep them safe from online predators, cyber bullying, porn, etc.

Allowing your child on social media is basically allowing your child to go out into the entire world without you being there to keep them safe. Literally, every normal parent's WORSE living nightmare.
